6/1/98- Geri quits Spices!
Geri Halliwell has officially quit the Spice Girls. She said it was because of differences in opinion
with the other girls. However, she wishes them well and they in return wished her success in
whatever carreer path she chooses. One newspaper blamed Geri's walkout on Mel B
who has the most attitude of all five girls. The remaining Spices pledge to continue with their
tours and will be performing in the USA later in the year. They group have NOT broken up - there are just 4 Spices instead of 5 now. Geri hasn't indicated what she will be doing next, but sources
suggest she wants to become a TV presenter and form her own production company. The Spice

5/29/98- Ginger flakes out
Ginger Spice has failed to turn up to two concerts in Oslo, Norway. Has she left the Spice
Girls or doesn't she like Norwegians? A spokeswoman for the Spice Girls said yesterday
that Geri was recovering from gastroentritis (stomach ache!) and would rejoin the Girls in
America for their next leg of their world tour. Obviously the media have been looking for any
news they can and the best they came up with was that Geri had had a massive argument with
the rest of the girls and stormed out. The concert in Osla was offering a refund to anyone who had
tickets to see 5 girls perform instead of 4.
